"Saturday in the Park," people laughing, people smiling, a town full of hope and dreams! Thanks to Amy and Desi Arnaz, the entire community got to share in a vision for the future full of promises and joy.
Watching the dancers brought the entire town to tears and the River Dance brought us all to our feet. It was a wonderful celebration for the young and the old. Special people make things happen, and for this celebration we thank Amy and Desi.
They deserve a big bear hug for their donation of time, money, and the vision to look beyond the impossible to reach out and make others believe. We know that just a part of their contribution was the stage, the bleachers, the security, the sound system, the Boy Scout clean up, and obviously countless hours to make this event happen, under the moonlight for the parents, grandparents, friends and family who brought blankets and smiles to our "Saturday in the Park."
Thank you from the entire community for demonstrating that old fashioned community spirit, and for bringing us together to celebrate the joy of life, today and tomorrow. We look forward to next year.
The integration of the recital and Spring Jamboree was a wonderful idea. We know that it takes many volunteers and many hours to put together an overall program as outstanding as the Spring Jamboree this year. On behalf of the businesses we'd like to congratulate you on a job well done. Most especially, we'd like to congratulate Cheryl Ferrence, executive director of the Chamber, for her leadership and inspiration.
